Black History Month

Black History Month display in Ludington Library

2019 marks the 400 year anniversary of the first documented arrival of the first Africans to mainland English North America. Some 20 odd Africans captives were taken to Jamestown and sold into bondage.

This month’s themed display in Ludington recognizes black heritage, culture, struggles, and accomplishments. Ask staff members for assistance in finding more titles either in our libraries or through MeL (interlibrary lending).
