Meditation Sign


Meditation is for everyone!  The group will do two meditations lasting between 12-15 minutes each with some time in between meditations and at the end of the session for brief discussions.  Participants may sit on a chair or feel free to bring a mat or meditation cushion/seat of your preference. The leader will gently guide you through the meditations with soothing words and brief silences. The group will meet for 30-45 minutes depending on the group’s interests and desire for discussion. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome!

  • Releases anxiety and stress
  • Improves ability to regulate emotions
  • Fosters clear thinking
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Increases happiness!

The group will meet Mondays, 10 am in the Zonta Room at the Ludington Library.  Sessions will be led by Kathryn Geib.  Kathryn was born and raised in southwest Michigan. After graduating from WMU, she danced professionally in New York City, but gave it up in 1982 to raise two children.  After retiring from law, she began to focus on yoga and meditation. She has been meditating regularly for over 7 years.  She has led meditation sessions for over 4 years. By leading meditations, she enjoys assisting others in bringing stillness to their minds and happiness to their hearts.

Mason County District Library programs are free.
