Library Card Sign Up
MASON COUNTY RESIDENT LIBRARY ACCOUNT
All Mason County, Michigan residents may apply for a resident library card. You must have identification showing a Mason County address. A resident library card account is free and entitles you to use the library and all services in accordance with library policies and is valid for 1 year. Your account is renewable for 3 year intervals thereafter. Children and youth under 18 must have parent or guardian approval and identification.
Mason County, Michigan residents can self-register online by going to this link: https://mcd.biblionix.com/catalog/. Click the Sign Up button on the top, right side and follow the instructions, including uploading picture proof of ID. We will follow up as soon as we review your information.
OCEANA COUNTY RESIDENTS
If you are registered library card holder of any Oceana County library (Pentwater, Hart, or Shelby), and can present your card at our library, you may borrow books from us in accordance with our library policies. You can be signed up as a Oceana County (non-resident) library card holder, but without the fee.
ANNUAL LIBRARY ACCOUNT
If you are not a full-time resident of Mason County, but you will be in the county for at least 3 months, AND you have a local address, you may apply for an annual library card account. An annual account is free and entitles you to use the library as if you were a resident and is valid for 1 year.
ONLINE LIBRARY ACCOUNT
If you are a resident of Mason County and would like access to the library’s online resources and databases but do not need to check out books or other items from the libraries in Ludington or Scottville – you may apply for an ONLINE LIBRARY ACCOUNT.
For an online-only library account card, you can self-register. Go to https://mcd.biblionix.com/catalog/ and click the “Sign Up” button at the top right. Follow the directions, submit the form, and we will follow up to activate your new account.
