Children’s Events & Programs

Our regularly scheduled children’s programs are highlighted below. There are many more activities and events for all ages each month. See our Events Calendar for more information.

1-2-3 Rhyme with Me (Ages 0 to 3)

Children ages 0 to 3 and their caregivers are invited to participate in 123 Rhyme with Me, which meets Mondays at 10:00 a.m. Ms. Emily leads everyone in songs and rhymes, and then stay and play! Our Ludington branch children’s area is available, plus some weeks we’ll have some Sensory play after our rhymes are done. Encourage literacy and social-emotional skills in your children with the Mason County District Library.

Story Time (Preschool ages)

Ms. Emily leads Story Times in Ludington on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Ludington Library. Ms. Lisa leads Preschool Story Time in Scottville on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. for Story time. We talk about the weather, sing songs, say rhymes, count, use our musical instruments, listen to a story, and have an activity. All Library activities are designed to encourage creativity, literacy, discovery, and community. Join us any day!

Creative Kids

Scottville Library’s Creative Kids meet on Wednesdays 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Ludington’s Creative Kids meet on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Come for our grade school aged appropriate games, interactive crafts, movies, and healthy snacks. All children under age 8 must be supervised by an adult.

See our Events Calendar for holiday specials, school-break schedules, and special events.
