Policy for Use of Peterson Room Study Rooms / Quiet Pods at the Ludington Branch of Mason County District Library
- Five quiet pods are available at the Ludington Library for persons aged 14 and over, with staff judgment allowed for younger users. First priority will be given to library card holders.
- Persons wishing to use a pod must check in at the main circulation desk.
- Pods 1, 4, and 5 seat 2 people comfortably.
- Pods 2 and 3 seat 3-4 people comfortably.
- The time limit is 2 hours per sign up, but they may re-sign up if no one is waiting.
- No food in the pods. Users can have a covered drink.
- The Library is not responsible for items left unattended in the quiet pod. Quiet pods cannot be locked.
- The Quiet pod must be left in the condition it was in, or better than, when it was checked out.
- Quiet pods must be vacated 15 minutes before closing.
- Persons using the Quiet Pods must adhere to the Library’s Behavior Rules. All persons who shall willfully violate such reasonable rules and regulations as the Library Board may adopt shall be requested to leave the building. Such exclusion from this library shall occur on the orders of the Director or Director’s designee. Additionally, the Library staff will contact the police if deemed necessary.
