Friends,

For over a year, a dedicated group of children, parents, staff, and board members has been meeting at Scottville Library to plan exciting updates for our children’s area, a space that hasn’t seen significant improvements in over 25 years. Our goal is to create a more engaging and inspiring environment for all of Mason County’s children.

Today we are asking for your support. Guided by a nature theme, we’ve already started this project by refreshing the space with new paint and a forest mural. Now we are asking for your help either with an in-kind donation or a monetary gift to add essential additions such as comfortable seating, safety upgrades, improved shelving, and storage for children’s activities and materials. Checks can be made out to the Mason County District Library, you can securely donate through Paypal on your computer, or open PayPal with the QR code below.

“This library has been important to me since I was six months old. It is probably why I read so much and I could not survive without it.”

“I am 10 years old and homeschooled. I live in Eden Township and go to the Scottville Library almost every week. I use the books I check out to learn about a lot of things…(like) World War II history, Ancient Greece, and types of military vehicles.”

“[The library] lets kids discover a whole new world by letting them check out free books.”
