We have challenges and prizes to keep you reading during the winter!

December 8, 2025 through February 28, 2026, cozy up with a few good books to read, and win prizes with our reading challenges. We have a challenge and prizes for all ages!

We are challenging our patrons to read and log their accomplishments, and win prizes! If you need a suggestion, feel free to ask at the front desk of the Ludington or Scottville Library. We’d be glad to help you find your next read.

Adult Reading Challenge

Pick up the Mouse bookmark at either branch. Completion requires 15 hours of reading. The prize is a certificate for a free cookie from Britter’s Twisted Wisk, or a coupon for a 20 oz drink from Wesco.

Teen Reading Challenge

We have a cute bookmark with penguins. When you complete 240 minutes  you receive a chocolate bar; at 500 minutes you receive a winter goody bag; and at 960 minutes the prize is a free teen book!

Children’s Reading Challenge

Pick up the sledding Yeti bookmark to keep track of your child’s progress. It’s got 12 trees to color, amounting to 6 hours of reading total, and the prizes are an item from the treasure chest for halfway and a free book for all the way complete.
