Calling Homeschoolers!
The Homeschool Book Club is meeting at our Scottville Library from 11 am – noon on third Wednesday of each month starting on Wednesday, September 16th. Children will meet by age groups. Find the full schedule Homeschool Book Club dates here on our Events Calendar: Homeschool Book Club
Miss Brianna runs two book clubs by age groups in the Community Room. The first club meeting is for 5-6 year-olds from 11-11:30 am; the second is for 7-8 year-olds and runs from 11:30 am-noon. When the children are not in book club, Miss Lisa has a craft set up in the Children’s Area for them to do.
For the 9-13 year-olds, Ms Ingrid leads an hour-long club from 11 am-noon in the teen area. We discuss the book and usually do some kind of activity.
For our first meeting in September, we will just be playing some games, making name tags, getting to know each other, and distributing the books.
Families are welcome to contact Ingrid in Scottville, 231-757-2588, if they have any questions or if they’d like to sign their children up for the club. We recommend knowing in advance so we have an idea of how many books to order for our first meeting. Let us know by Tuesday, September 1st so we can order enough books to share on our first day.
All MCDL events are free. Children under age 8 must be supervised by an adult.
